St Ignatius Day Celebrations -letter from the College President

As we officially celebrate St. Ignatius Day today, may I wish you all a late afternoon HAPPY ST. IGNATIUS DAY.

On this day, the 31st of July in 1556, St. Ignatius of Loyola passed away in Rome. Since then, 31st July has become the feast day of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Today across the globe in Jesuit communities, apostolates, and other Jesuit associates, friends, and collaborators, we commemorate the living legacy, heritage, and life of St. Ignatius.

At St. Ignatius College, we join all the Jesuit communities and works around the world to celebrate the life of a visionary, mystic, and a person who undoubtedly touched and still touches many lives. May we all and in all that we do, embrace the values inspired by him who invites us to see God in all situations, persons, contexts, and cultures.

A HAPPY ST. IGNATIUS DAY

Yours in Christ

Choobe Maambo S.J.

The President, St. Ignatius College
