As an educational institution in the Jesuit and Ignatian tradition, we value the gift of collaboration and working together as a community so that we achieve the mission of forming men and women for others; and ultimately, becoming communities of compassion, conscience and commitment.
The overall Jesuit Mission calls us communal partners and collaborators to cultivate a culture of encounter, where we allow ourselves to receive the grace and opportunity to encounter Christ in one another.
The continuous upsurge of the COVID-19 pandemic has continued to place us in positions of dire distress. Apart from the loss of lives among our own college family and the larger community, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic continue to affect us on an emotional, psychological and spiritual level.
Based on all these experiences, St Ignatius College through the office of the College Chaplain Father Peter Banda SJ, has established an online Community Programme (Parents and Staff Ignatian Evenings) for spiritual accompaniment and faith sharing experience.
The fortnightly programme is dubbed, “The College at Prayer,” and will be taking place on Thursdays from 20 00 to 20 30 hours on Zoom, with the first session scheduled for next week Thursday 22nd July 2021 at 20 00 hours.
This is a wonderful opportunity for reflection, encouragement and spiritual accompaniment especially in these challenging times. The 30 minutes sessions will be facilitated by the Jesuits, Staff members and willing Parents.
We invite and encourage you to join these sessions as they are sure to enrich our lives in a very deep sense, as individuals and college family.
We look forward to your participation and wish you all Godly blessings and guidance.
